As the Cherokee Rodders, we strive to keep all our events family friendly, provide a place to show off ones dedication to car culture and above all have fun. There a few policies we ask all car owners (participants) and patrons (spectators/vendors) of the events to follow.
Show cars must be 1985 or older for direct entry at the Rod Run. Any later model vehicles must prove major customizations. Anyone pre-registering a vehicle newer than 1985 must contact the Cherokee Rodders via email with pictures before registration will be issued. For those who do not pre-register, the entry attendants reserve the right to stop any entry not qualified without question.
Participants must obey any posted rules and regulations of the event location, even if those rules go above and beyond any of those listed herein.
Moving cones or barricades without permission is not permitted.
Early parking before the scheduled show date/time is not permitted unless approved by a club member. At the time of approval, you must park as directed. All parking locations/positions are at the discretion of the parking attendant/club member present.
Event grounds will be closed for all vehicles coming or going at 9 pm each night. If you need to enter the show grounds, you must speak to and be escorted by a security member.
Upon entering the show grounds, if your group wishes to park together, please enter the show together. At times we can accommodate parking wishes but this decision is solely up to the parking attendant(s).
Cruising during the event is a privilege, please drive carefully when parking or leaving (under 3mph). NO BURN OUTS, NO HOPPING OR RAPID HYDROLIC/AIR BAG USE (You may “slowly” lower or raise your vehicle when you arrive and leave). During a cruise, it is the sole responsibility of the operator of the vehicle to obey all local highway laws and to poses a valid driver’s license, insurance, valid tag, registration, and any other applicable documents. Cruises are not a law exempt activity.
Spectator and registered parked cars must maintain handicap and fire/EMS accessibility in and around the show grounds. Please do not block walkways, driving lanes, gates and/or fire exits. Please obey all instructions given by parking attendants. Any vehicle found in parking violation is subject to towing at owners expense. The Cherokee Rodders accept no responsibility for any parking outside of the show grounds or fees associated with any occurrence.
If the event requires a Parking attendant, all participants must obey the instructions of the present attendant. If you do not like your parking spot, please discuss this matter with the parking attendant. Acceptance or denial of a request is at the sole discretion of the parking attendant. Moving and re-parking a vehicle without permission of a Cherokee Rodders member may result in eviction from the event. All show ground participants must register and place their window plaque in their windshield within the show area. If a car is found to have not registered within the show area, or has provided a false registration, or nonpayment, this participant along with any persons that were falsely admitted will be subject to eviction/removal from show grounds.
Any person, regardless of affiliation to a registered vehicle or vendor, who falsely enters the show grounds or any activity, is subject to eviction from that event. Any persons found entering a ticketed event without paying the admission price, will be subject to eviction from that event.
All ez-up type tents and/or ancillary structures attached to the vehicle must be securely anchored to the ground via stakes or weighted anchors at all times. Fastening to any solid surface directly is strictly prohibited. In the event of wind or any issues arising with said structures/tents, a club member can require the structure to be taken down without question at their discretion. All structures must be taken down at night as not to create a hazard in the event of a sudden wind or rain storm.
Please be considerate of language and remarks as this is a family friendly event.
Any fighting, or malicious communications are grounds for immediate eviction from the event.
Please place all trash in the provided bins and make sure to pick up after yourself
The Cherokee Rodders reserve the right, at their discretion, to evict any participant including their vehicle from the show grounds or deny re-entry to the event if any of the before mentioned rules/regulations are not followed. Cherokee Rodders reserve the right to evict or restrict entrance due to unacceptable behavior during any and all activities promoted and/or allowed by Cherokee Rodders annual events. Any poor behavior on or off the event location upon which the event is being held and sponsored shall be considered reason for denying admittance of any vehicle and/or entrant to the Cruise the Smokies Show. The interpretation of what may or may not constitute “poor behavior” and “unacceptable” shall be at the sole and exclusive discretion of the Cherokee Rodders. This reservation of rights includes persons, things, conduct, printed matter, or any act or item of poor character which may be deemed or considered to be objectionable to the well being of said associated events. Should the Cherokee Rodders, or any authorized representative thereof, deem it necessary to evict or restrict any action and/or entrance on the part of any entrant, participant, spectator and/or his or her spouse, Cherokee Rodders shall not be liable, under any circumstances, for refunding any entry fees, except at its own discretion. If a person has been found in violation of any the above rules/regulations in multiple instances, the Cherokee Rodders reserve the right to deny future entry to any event or activity held by the Cherokee Rodders. In the event of a dispute of any rule/regulation disciplinary action above, the participant may seek council with the President and/or the Vice President of the Cherokee Rodders. The ruling of these officials will be final without question.
